Description
Horse-chestnut is an exotic tree, growing in gardens, parks or forests. For curative purposes, the bark on the young branches, the flowers, the leaves and the seeds of the chestnut are used. They are used under the form of tincture, decoction or hydroalcoholic extract.
The hydroalcoholic extract used by Exhelios®, has venotonic, anti-inflammatory, vasoconstrictive, astringent properties, improving the operation of the venous valves and strengthening the venous walls.
Use
Due to the presence of saponosides, especially of escin and D-cathecol, the chestnut extracts have venotonic, anti-inflammatory properties, diminishing capillary fragility. The main indications of the external use of the chestnut extract are: varicose veins, phlebitis, hematoma and any other disfunctions in venous circulation.
Our researchers have studied the action of the chestnut extract in association with other extracts. They have concluded that this combination between the chestnut extract and the hellebore extract has synergic action. This combination has been certified with an invention patent being granted to our researchers.
The two extracts complement and sustain each other, being thus used for multiple conditions which involve inflammations, pain or problems related to blood circulation.
